but friends with zero pc-skills managed to install and set it up!

so, i check periodically my pc for virus, and now i can say the application is not dangerous!

FB and wordpress/blogspot blogs open with no problem at all, extremely stable.
youtube is a little slow, sometimes you have to reload the page to have it working... but i'm happy!

also i can stream video (pplive, ppstream, funshion) in parallel with blogging with no speed loss!!!!

and i repeat, all for FREE!!!!

I checked it out. Will attempt to install later. But i do have a question for expats in the know: What percentage of Chinese people use VPN? Does anyone know where one could even find that information? I had a slightly inflamed semi-drunk conversation argument last night with another foreigner about what percentage of internet users in China are using VPN.


anyone have info or thoughts on this?

most of the friends i have use it..

but i can ask a very good friend, chinese, software engineer, his company sells vpn solutions!!

here it is the answer from my friend:

There is no way to figure out exactly the number is.
We know that China have over 4billion interneter users. Some people calculate by Chinese Facebook user numbers. According to the proportion of China local social media web, it would be about 27million.  Then we think it might have 0.5%~2%people are in common use these web unblock tools, and about 6% in total. 
Another report from BBC said the number is 1%~2%(2010).           
In all the unblock tools, about 20% of them use VPN to access the web.

even being a high educated chinese engineer, i take as a common mixed up passing from asian to western counting!
it is 400 million!

google says that in China in 2010 there were about 35% internet users

I have found it on wikipedia, and i can say the little yellow/blue icon is the same that appears when you run GoAgent, so....
