Hi Andy,
I got a lady Chinese friend studying Japanese now, her name is Helen. She got a Japanese family friend in Hefei too.

You can hook up with her and study Japanese together after office hours.

thanks for the info but even if i love Japanese language as well, the reason was slightly different.
i want to start an Aikido (japanese martial art) group here in Hefei..
and if there was a chance to get connection with a Japanese school it would have helped to get also motivated students ;)

Aikido is very young in China.. that's why I have to go often to Shanghai for practicing and I go sometimes to Hangzhou for both practicing and teaching!

Thanks anyway, maybe I'll contact her just to see how's the Japanese environment here!!

Regards and greetings!

Opps! My bad, I thought you were referring to the language.

Hey, maybe I can join your Aikido class then.  ;D

I only know the "Huchida" (in our language), this means "Take off the the slippers then run like hell" in English.  ;D ;D ;D

Aikido philosophy is not very different, but we run on the slipeprs, if on the road.. or we are already without, if on the tatami (mats)
that's why i like aikido!
long life to rabbits!!!
unfrotunately when you cannto run anymore, the other part, the not philosophical one, of Aikido comes handy!!

i'd love to study japanese again, but i put breaks on that.. first i must learn some chinese  ;)

there was a quite big show in Beijing sport combat exhibition about Aikido too (with one of the most famous instructors in the world, Christian Tissier from France, one of the two teacher I feel closer to!!):

i know quite a few people that were there and one of the major from France is going in 1 month to my ex-dojo in Norway!!

 ;D

cheers
