Well... talking about KFC and McDonald's while there's so much better food around???  Shocked

My recommendation:
Go and find a traditional or 'kongfu' restaurant! It's easy, just look for a bamboo hut. Usually, you can hear the waiters shouting from outside. There are two restaurants near the Shangzhidu shopping mall - in that little foodstreet between Changjiang Lu and Hongxing Lu.
If you don't speak Chinese just let them bring some dishes, you can give it back if you don't want it. Try the fish, rice-meatballs or the potatoes. And if you are brave also try the baijiu...  Roll Eyes

yea i love pig intestines! and pig blood you should try this with huoguo ( hotpot )
but for certain street names or restuarants for most its not as known for many foreigners i never see any foreigners go there unless i invite them to it

besides that who here really does enjoy a real cultured traditional mouth spitting baijiu place of eatery's?
if so let me know maybe we can go and check em out or maybe even some kind of traditional layed back tea house and play some majong for beer
