hefei.gov.cn 2011/11/15 A gold and jewellery shopping mall is expected to be located in Hefei, capital city of Anhui province, according to a local press briefing.
The mall will be designed not only for the trading of gold and jewels but also for gem testing as well as gold research and development. A five-star hotel with a helicopter parking apron on the roof will also be built in the mall.
There are gold deposits in the province's 12 cities together with 42 counties and county-level districts and gold processing facilities in ten cities and 20 counties in the province, Wang Yunchu, development planning director of the provincial gold administration said.
During the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015) period, the province will increase its gold reserves by 200 tonnes. Gold output is expected to top 30 tonnes by 2015, bringing 30 billion yuan in sales revenue.(source:www.cnanhui.org)
