I would like to recommend something contructive to learn Chinese.
If you've got an Iphone, you can use an app called "Pleco" to translate or to learn Chinese with flashcards.
One of the best on-line Chinese learning dictionary is MDBG. You can visit
http://www.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php You can copy and paste Chinese or English sentences or even paragrahs into the search bar to see the other language. It will split Chinese sentences into word by word for you to know the meaning of each word. Click the horn to listen to the pronunciation of the Chinese.
For those intermediate Chinese learners, you may visit
http://www.slow-chinese.com/ to listen to some audio podcasts to improve your Chinese listening.
