a 15 days old baby was murduered in hefei

hefei local tv just reported four days ago that a new born baby was murdered by the unknown, he was only 15 days old. the story happened in a village of hefei, the baby's father is working in another country, his grand mum went shopping that morning, and the baby's mum went to the toliet for five minutes, and the baby was killed during that five minutes, his body was threw into a well in the yard of his own house. what a tragedy! why the baby got killed is still a myth, but it says likely its a revenge. this beast, for whatever reason, the baby is innocent. hope the police is not stupid just for the kids sake, bring him the justice, please.

i remember hearing years back that a toddler cried out thief on the bus and the thief turned around and sliced up  the toddlers face, this is more common in hefei,so... to me its not a big deal

I heard from an, ahem, friend of a friend, that the police have the view that if America can't solve all it's murders, why should police here even bother trying.  I imagine that view is not held by all police, but it is held by the only cop I know.
