Title: Yoga classes in Hefei

Hey guys. I am  Mark, moving to Hefei to work as a teacher. I would like some help.

1. My girlfriend is a yoga teacher. Are there any centers that she will be able to work?
2. Is there any interest in yoga classes in Hefei ?  Is it popular?
3. How many expats do they live in Hefei (approximately)

1. Probably not, unless its a private practice which gets into tricky legal areas.
2. Probably. Is it popular? No idea. I've never seen any interest by Chinese, but I've also never really asked.
3. Vast majority are university students. Minority are professionals. I guess around 10,000 in total with the vast majority being students from Africa, Middle East, or India, but there aren't any firm statistics.

My advice would be to do private lessons in your home, if you have a large enough space. You might be able to use a sports facility or gym at a local school as well if you have a large enough interest. Hefei does have lots of gyms that might offer yoga classes, but they probably can't hire foreigners. You could go to some local gyms and see if they would be willing to pay your girlfriend under the table for teaching yoga classes. However, this could potentially cause legal issues for the gym, so the gym might be hesitant.
