Title: Big Dogs in 2nd Tier Cities

I found out a bit about Weimaraner and other big dogs in Hefei and other cities in China.

Since 1994, dogs over 35 centimeters tall have been illegal in several Chinese urban centers such as Beijing and Shenzhen. Up until last year this ten-year-old law was not being enforced, even the registration of ‘oversized’ dogs was no problem. However, over the last year there has been a ‘crack down’ on what officials describe as “large and vicious dogs”.

I'll ask about exceptions in Hefei.
