Title: Fed-Ex
Post by: Snarf-Ra on March 25, 2013, 08:41:16 am
Hey does anyone here have experience using Fed-Ex/UPS/DHL for mailing documents from Hefei?

What did you use, and where is it available in the city? Regular post would be too slow for these.

I've used EMS (http://www.ems.com.cn/english.html) with great success. I took about one week (7 - 10 Days) to mail a small package to the East Coast of the Untied States. Pretty reasonable time in my opinion. I'm not sure what you're looking for time wise. EMS is actually a organization which links domestic mail services internationally, so the package will be deviled in the U.S via USPS. All you need to do is call EMS and they'll arrange a time to come to your apartment where they'll pack your package for you and weigh it.

As for FedEx/DHL/UPS ... Out of those, I know DHL is used when shipping internationally from China. I know there's a DHL Shipping and Receiving Center in Hefei but I've never gone through the process of shipping using DHL. I've always used EMS.
