Title: Apartment for 1000 RMB?

I am thinking of moving to Hefei soon.  I was offered a teaching position that offers a 1000 RMB housing allowance.  Is this enough to get a decent place?  What should I expect?  What is the best way for me to go about finding this type of apartment in the city?

I heard that teaching English to pre-schoolers up to year 3 in schools is no longer allowed unless the parents are preparing for travel to enroll children in foreign schools abroad.

Just what I heard but seems to have some foundation.

According to vise regulations for foreigners, you can not work or volunteer for another company unless the volunteering is approved by the sponsoring company.
