Mew…hello everyone! I am Mia, a Chinese newbie. I can speak better English than most of the Chinese people in Hefei…so I found myself helpful among the expats…And now I am one of the project coordinators for this site…I can be your local guide, translator, couch surfing host and the contact person in the expat social activities… Just see me as a representative of the hospitality from Hefei!! Best wishes :-*

Hi Mia,
I see you passed the human test by registering.
Welcome to the team.
Mia is the newest member of our team and will provide assistance for members as well as co-ordinate a number of projects we are initiating.
Expat children Play-group and the English Club for English Speakers are two of the projects she will co-ordinate.

This is probably the first time that I heard anyone posting about "who they are". ;D
Seems like a nice girl. Wish you all the best. You are def. in good hands.

Thanks!
I was hesitating on what to say in my first post. So finally instead of saying that "...HALO I want to improve my English...", I just wrote about what I can do for this community. ;D

I have to say, Mia and Charline work well with me... I am impressed with both of them...
Charline is Reception and Office Co-ordinator, she will set up and manage the office where Mia is more Projects Co-ordinator. Each seem to be well suited for their position. I'm sure you will realise that soon enough.
-
Is Rae still with you as well? She seems to have went MIA on this site.
-
Love the Mia-M.I.A. pun... ;D
In fact Mia is the new Projects Co-ordinator which was Rae's position.
Rae was with us for 3.5 years. She established Hefei Waike Business Consulting for me. Currently she is exploring her options in Shanghai where her family reside. So many options for her, I'm hoping she will open and manage my Perth recruiting office. She is gaining perspective of her value, now she is looking for a direction to head. She will do well which ever way she goes.
Bonnie has gone to another province to a job she was trained in, Electronics.
-
About Bonnie, a pity not knowing her background that before.. my company here is continuously looking for Electronics/Mechanics ppl!
Anyway good luck with your new team..
I know I am a little out of the expat scene, but you have also established an office?
and what about the bar? is it opened?
-
Charline is exploring available locations now for the office and we encountered another issue in regards to the bar but we will resolve that soon enough.
Post a message in the careers section for people to employ.

Hey Mia,
I'm new to Hefei. Just moved here a few weeks back. Am looking for an apartment in the downtown area. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Best regards
Joe

Somewhere near Wanda would be a good choice as it is within walking distance to the provincial sports center, shopping mall, Wuhu Road (lordbao park) and Ningguo Road (club street). :)

Yes that's the price for 2-room flats in the Wanda buildings, ranging from 2500 to even 3500. Really good location and view. But finding a taxi there is quite a problem...(maybe most of the places in Hefei are like this anyway)
Within walking distance from there the price would be lowered to 1500-2000.
Nice to meet you zang2er :))
