Been spending most weekends in Sha but I have found time to explore KuoGou, Yuan Yi, the new Walmart, walking street. Carrefour at KuoGou is my favorite, got most of the items I wanted there. Parkson also having a wide variety of imported food from Asean.

Chinese but not born in China. LOL
Yea, some people have this wired thinking:
Why Singaporean look like China.
LOL
People will know we are from other countries once we open our mouth and start talking.

I was talking to a group of Chinese one particular day and I kept getting these weird responses from one guy, they made sense and where definitely non-Chinese. ??? His English was certainly better than average. I had to ask him if he'd studied abroad...
That's when he told me he's only been in China a few months... but he's noticed a few broads... ;D
A friend I was working with was 5th generation Chinese from Hawaii, couldn't speak a word of Chinese as his families married Chinese bloodlines but only spoke English. Language was lost during the Melting Pot era when foreign languages were a hindrance e.g. war-time.
The students could not get used to the fact that he looked Chinese but knew nothing of Chinese culture other than what we learn in foreign schools and general life.
He had a very difficult time for a while there.
My question is, do Chinese consider you to be Chinese?
