Most book stores will have them. The ones I am talking about are the larger stores, not the smaller book shops. But mind you, I have seen some smaller shops selling them as well.

The English maps are very outdated now, 2002 I think was the last update.
If you get one of the English ones and a Chinese one you can work out the new streets.
There are many new roads and changes between the two maps.

Great, thanks!

I just picked up a 2009 map of Hefei in Chinese at a place called "Anhui Da Shi Chang". I am not sure if I have the spelling right, but if anyone on here is knowledgable about Hefei, then I am sure you can figure it out. It's a huge market in the east part of Hefei that has many vendors selling different products. From what I am told, most of Anhui shops by directly from this place. It's east of the train station. Follow that road going east from the train station until the road runs out. You will be at a 3-way intersection. It's right there, on the east side of that intersection.
BTW, paid 4RMB for it and I know it's not an English one, but at least you will be armed with something.

Hello Everyone,
I have just moved to Hefei from Shanghai. Could you please let me know where I can find a Hefei City Road Map in English? If possible the precise name and address of the book shop/store that sells these maps.
Thanks

@Apunhiran,
I understand you are looking for an English map of Hefei, but I am not sure that is the best choice, especially after Aussie Mike said that the earliest version of it is around 2002. Since then, many roads have changed, so it would be useless to get something like that. I really would just stick to the Chinese map of Hefei, and if you need to, ask friend which road is which. After some time, you will know the roads, at least the major ones. It's easier to show the taxi driver, if you use taxis. Many reasons. The thing that works for me, is that I get my wife to tell me about the roads in pin yin, and from there, I will know how to make my way to the place that way.
In the end, you can choose what works best for you.

Hello,
Well what I did was went to Hilton for Dinner at the Indian Place, then thought of asking the hotel if they have an English Map, and to my good luck, they had one, this one has the road names in English and Chinese so it helps. As per you suggestion I also brought a Chinese map, so I can compare and understand the English Map.
