On Thursday, Business Insider reported that China is trying to buy “a huge chunk” of Facebook.
According to the business news website, Beijing approached a fund that buys stock from former Facebook employees to see if it could assemble a stake large enough “to matter.”

Moreover, Citibank is rumored to be trying to acquire as much as $1.2 billion of stock for two sovereign wealth funds, one from the Middle East and the other Chinese.

Business Insider reports a third source, from a “very influential” Silicon Valley investment bank, confirms that Citi is representing China.

Should Beijing be allowed to buy a part of Mark Zuckerberg’s site?  Business Insider tells us there is “little need” for concern about Chinese censors looking at the photos and postings of the 700 million people who trust Facebook with their personal online activity.

That, in my opinion, is not a good idea...

Makes me want to delete my FACEBOOK account, not that I can log-in often...

I love being in China... for many reasons...
However, the censorship issues are are a major problem for me.

What I say to my friends should be only be between my friends...
What my friends say about me should only be between those people.
I will judge my friends from the stories I hear repeated...

Those who listen in and use that for their own gains, are never to be trusted.

Most of all...
I want to access all information available and choose what I wish to believe.

My question is not how much is a big enough stake to matter but more "What MATTERS?"

Doesn't FACEBOOK have some connection with the CIA?
At least I have Australian law to defend myself against the CIA...

I hope...

I am a member of Xing.com
A wonderful website for business contacts.
BLOCKED

How can we do business?

How can China become a "Super Economic Power"?
