Title: Wireless router in China
Post by: Andy72 on July 19, 2010, 12:45:15 am
this is a quite technical question.. but maybe some of you has experience, before i start googling the issue and reading tons of stuff!

is there any difference between the protocol for a chinese wireless router and an american or european one?
if i purchase an american router, can it work properly in china?

i do not see any reason why not but someone mentioned to me earlier that they use a different standard in China.. probably on the ethernet line.

if you got any experience, let me know!

cheers,

andy

HI Andy,
I cannot answer your questions but please allow me to make a suggestion.

Just simply buy a TP Link Wireless Router, should be around 120-150RMB now. Go the the website and download the file that would convert the language from Chinese to English. Once converted, it should be user friendly.

This is my wireless router for almost 3 years now. I got no problems with it.
