Title: Websites
Post by: rgeczi on June 18, 2008, 12:00:26 pm
I didn't know where else to post this, so I put it here.

I am really a beginner when it comes to tech. things, so I hope someone out there can help me.  In the near future, I am planning on opening a trade business.  And because of that, I would like to also have a website with the various products that I deal with, along with photos.  What would the site like that cost per month?  I would like the server to be located outside China.  Also, I would like to have my own email address, from that newly created site.  I don't know what else to say about it.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

If it is a small site, hosting is cheap ($3-5), for ecommerce you would also probably want an ssl certificate (+10 USD for a cheap one..)  & obviously the domain  (whatever.com) - most hosting companies give you a domain for free though.

if you have the domain    *.com   you will get all the emails you want, ie;  *@*.com

Whatever you do do not host with the midphase.com - they are the company that just deleted all the websites I had last year in the blink of an eye! cunts!

Thanks for all the help.  In the end, I have chosen "Godaddy" to host it.  I haven't done it yet, but that will be the place I will do it.  Their site is very thorough and easy to use, which for me, is a must.
