Ms Huang Hung's Laowai blunder

I had the pleasure of spending some six hours in the presence of and dining with editorial executives of the China Daily newsgroup today. It didn't take me long to swing the conversation around to the satirical offensive by Ms Huang Hung.
One of the editorial executives I interacted and dined with told me that he personally contacted the editorial senior and informed the senior of the mistake to allow such a poor piece of journalism to be printed.
You can also find an article by Raymond Zhou to attempt to cover for Ms Huang. The article states she is a 'darling' of the China Daily team.
It seems that there is egg on the face of the editor and Ms Huang -- hmmm!
Perhaps her intention was just to have a good laugh and not cause so much offense.
BTW The article is still able to be viewed.

This confirms my original opinion that it was made to create controversy and make her know.
Of course she would apoligise and say it was a mistake or taken out of context or what ever reason she gives.
