The price for L to F & F visa extension has been cutting down. That's to say, you can catch the big chance to renew your visa type or get another long-term visa.

After the national day, so many people enter into China with a tourist (L) visa. If you are a normal traveller who just need 90 days to travel around China, it is fine. You don't nee change or extend it.

However, most of people enter into for hunting a job or living their life. So they will need much longer time to stay in China wihout leaving China.

Then, you can convert or extend your visa. This is a good time.

Part I Visa Extension
a) L Visa Extension for 1 month with 0/1 entry;
b) F Visa Extension for 3/6/12 months with 1/2/M entries;
c) Z Visa extension (including the extension of Alien Employment Working Permit and Residence Permit).

Part II Visa Conversion
L/F--F 1 month ---Not available now;
L/F--F  3 months   Single entry
L/F--F  6 months   Single entry
L/F--F  6 months   Double entries
L/F--F  6 months   Multiple entries
L/F--F  1 year     Multiple entries
L/F-- Z  1 year ( Work Visa) Multiple entries

Part III Invitation Letter
Foreigner Z (Work) Invitation Letter;
Foreigner F (Business) Invitation Letter;

To my knowledge, the price of visas hasn't went down.  If the price you charge is less than before, then that is something your company decided, and is trying to market.  Please do not lead the people on, thinking the actual administration charges for the visa at the actual visa office has lowered their fees.

Unless I see proof, this is where I stand on this issue.
