Tonight is the night for singles and the stars have aligned to have this day on Friday.

I anticipate a lot of locals braving a night out in the name of cosmic calendar forces, good Feng Shui, or other superstitious purposes. Should be a good time!

If you want, you can post whether or not you're going out, and where you're going.

I'll be pre-gaming at On the Way bar and then heading downtown. Might give 1912 another shot or just head to the goodstuff downtown.

I'm hoping there will be more single ladies than single dudes, but i suspect the clubs will be loaded with males.

It's always better to go out with rather than go out looking ... but then I don't have much choice because I once was lost/free but now I am found/bound.

 Have a great night!

11/11/11 was definitely pretty wild.

On the Way bar, which is usually nothing to write home about, was awesome. They gave you a slip of paper at the front door which had an identical match floating around with another person at the bar. You had to try and link up with your partner which gave a lot of the less-brave chinese girls incentive to mingle. They also distributed gold ribbon to singles, which you could tie around your hand/arm/hair/wherever to show your available status. They hired a band from Beijing called "DISH" and they were a very good band. The bar dies every night at about the same time students have to be back for their curfew, so we ditched O.t.W and went to 1912.

We hopped into the Blue Marlin, ordered a beer, the patrons started a congo line to "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" and i immediately chugged my beer and got the hell out of there. TNT was also a bit lame, but return to 79 (to which i refer to as Back to the Future) was a good time for sure and we closed it down. I also ran into Ben from Ben 15 bar and he showed me around his new bar (which is not a bar at all. It's another club/ktv). So i managed to successfully find his place which i will have to check out during operating hours sometime soon.

My buddy claimed a bit of notoriety at Return of the Jedi79 by stealing every pair of bunny ears that were given out to the single ladies. By the end of the night, girls were taking their ears off when he approached and hiding them or clutching onto them with an iron grip. This also occurred outside the club, even as far as the BBQ vendors on the side road. I ended up walking out of the club with a pair of bunny ears (unknowingly) placed on my head.
