Hello Forum,
I'm struggling to find a place where I can buy some running shoes. I wear a 46,5 or, more comfortably, a 47. I haven't been able to find that size online or offline, and it appears that nobody in this city has a foot bigger than a 44. If anybody knows of a shoeshop please share that piece of information.

Regards,
             Your Truly

I bought a pair of Italian casual leather shoes for less than 400RMB at the shirt shop I go to.

I don't remember if they have runners though.

Have you also checked the Binhu Shopping Mall ?
3rd floor should be Adidas, Puma, etc.

On Anqing Xi Lu there are stores that service police and special forces type officers. I bought some paramilitary style boots last winter which are very comfortable and warm but they might now have summer stock --maybe even runners. I am planning on dropping by myself to have a look. I had no problems with my size. The price also was fantastic for the quality & comfort -- approx 350 kuai -- a very reasonable price considering my frmer boots (D&S) cost 550 rmb. Not everyone likes high-cut boots but I recall they had some ultra-flexible paramilitary boots that are lightweight and sylish as well.

Bear in mind I was went to every shoe store in Wuhan and Hefei for two years and found nothing I would put on my feet. I persisted with ten year old Rossi boots until they finally gave up the ghost. They were amazing as the upper boot aged gracefully but the air-cushion soles finally got punctured & separated. Finally I found Dragon and Sea (D&S) brand on the 5th floor above Parksons -- there are many shoes there so maybe that is worth a look. You might also check out Metro, just off Huizhou Dadao.

Aside from that, grow hooves and visit a farrier or opt for stilts.

Thanks a lot for this tip and for sharing the link. Actually, I also known several online stores that could cater to shoes needs and other shopping sprees. check out the link below.

On the ground floor of Century Mart next to the main gate of Xinghua park there is a shoe shop (called Camel I think).

I have found pretty good leather shoes there that I would normally buy back home (leather trail boots and shoes, and casual leather shoes etc.) in big sizes. My klopper is about 12 US.

No runners though.
