just noticed yesterday night (i was in Wanda for a nice dinner and relaxing walking around with my gf.. a change from the "countryside" were I live!!):

just after Wanda, going on the road of bus 235, (Ma'anshanLu i think!), south direction, you have on your right side 2 clubs side by side, one called LADY and one i think 88 (it might have moved from another place)..
they might be the same style of ning guo lu places (loud disco music, young hot girls, mainly chinese young people.. i like those places!!)

if i try i'll let you know!!

That place has been the hub of clubs as long as I have been here.
The building was actually 6 clubs plus KTV which 3 clubs are usually closed.
This was the original 39 degrees.

i got a question though:
the location looks a bit.. sketchy..
true the road is big, but under the bridge with not so much activity around..

are they safe places?

Good question...
Personally, I've never had a problem in a bar in Hefei however there have been some unpleasent moments.

Most of the bars that had bad reputations, are now closed. As for the others, some have changed owners or management.

People are people, where ever you are, if you attract trouble at home, expect little difference unless you change something; if you never attract trouble, expect no different.

General rule, if we recommend a bar, it's because we have had good experiences there and we trust the management have reasonable attitudes and security for all it's patrons.

Having been in  a few bars over the last year, i found, only had one time that it might have become...how do i say interesting. Angry
Wasn't with any Chinese person either Smiley. I find them friendly and really easy to get along with. Unfortunatly some of us foreigners i cannot say the same for.
Have a good time yes ( we all want that ) but i do see the regular, one or two strutting around trying to be the tough guy. ( always the same people too Undecided Look at me i am big and tough! grrr!  Grin )
It is a shame that some do seem to go over board with the drink.

Other than that, as long as you behave, have fun but be aware of where you are and whats going on around you, i dont think you can never have a bad night out.

88 is an ok place. the view is alot better than the music i find hehe Roll Eyes Grin

Staying at the Hilton, looking for any good bars near here?
Any suggestions,
Or do I need to go deeper into the city?
