I feel it seems very hard to get some exercise in Hefei, and it's starting to drive me crazy!  I went running the other day, and people practically stopped and stared like I was naked or something.  Very uncomfortable.  I also have a bicycle and an indoor exercise bike, but I'm kinda scared to use the bicycle too much, and the indoor bike is sooo boring.  In the States, I loved to go on long outdoor runs or bike rides, but that's a bit harder here.

Any ideas from the Hefei people that like to stay in shape?  Like where to run or bike, gyms, how you make indoor exercise fun etc.  I don't want to be fat, especially while all the people here are so thin!

My neighbor informed me there is a gym less than 5 min from my door on USTC East Campus.  I was surprised when I went yesterday, it is pretty nice I think!  Sooo glad I can get some exercise in now Smiley

I do it the old fashion way.  I do stair exercises in my apartment building.  Doing those 5 or 6 times up and down sure hits the sport, cardio-wise.  And if you are looking to do weights, look around the house for various stuff to lift.  And lastly, anything missing, buy a stability ball and roll around on that in different yoga positions.   Wink

It's sounds like a joke, but try it.  You won't be laughing after it's all done.  Grin
