Wal Mart

Anyone know when the new Wal Mart is planning on opening? I am talking about the one across from Yuan Yi place. I know a new Carrefour opened up around there, and they are still doing some construction work. So, maybe the Wal Mart is doing the same. But from the looks of it, maybe no. Thoughts?

The new Wal-Mart will be open when every Chinese person goes there on opening day! I went to the first Wal-Mart opening in Wuhu, and it was packed as a train on Spring holiday. Children urinating in front of the escalators, people stopping in front of the escalators, madness!

According to what you mentioned....I am going to have a typical day there when the time comes.
I know they already hired employees because the outside of the building is scattered with bikes/elec. bikes and so on. So, it's just a matter of time. I wonder what kinds of imported foods they will have. That is my only concern.

Wal Mart is now open.
I went there today.....not bad. Looks quite spacious, and I mean that in the layout of the place, as well as the lack of people shopping there (what do you expect from a new place, as well as an off time like around lunch time). There is quite a bit of foods there that I saw which are not in Carrefour, so that was kind of interesting and nice to see. They have a small imported section, which kind of sucks, seeing as though I went there mainly for that. But, they do have various foods scattered around the place that is food made by foreign companies, inside China, which is the next best thing I guess.
Have fun.
