Chinglish to English
« on: November 28, 2010, 05:53:07 am »

Chinglish is Chinese influenced English.
AusEnglish is Australian influenced English.
JapEnglish, Spanglish, Singlish and the list goes on.  ;D

Chinese English is taught in China, by Chinese teachers, from Chinese English books, for Chinese exams.

CET, TEM and other Chinese exams focus on grammar, read, memorise and repeat. Things you can score.

The barrier between Chinglish and English can only be breached when attitudeds and the learning process is changed.

You must use English to learn English.

More than half the communication is conveyed through body language; facial expressions, gestures and stance, more than a third is conveyed through intonation and expression while the actual words used including the mechanics of English, amount to less then 10%.
