Jaffles are a significant part of growing up in Australia.  When camping, there's little better than a loading your bread with filling into the metal head, long handle jaffle iron and burying it deep into the coals of the campfire.  Checking it occassionally to make sure it reaches the perrrrfect shade of brown then bouncing one from hand to hand to help to help it cool enough so you can venture to bite off the corner.

Jaffles are in Hefei now!
Australian Kim's wife has opened a shop outside the north west section of An Nong Da (Agricultural University), opposite Olli Gardens.

Jaffles will be available any day now.

Jaffles are a food item made of two slices of bread with creative fillings pressed onto an iron mold and toasted in a fire.

The combinations of filling is limited by your imagination but there are some standard tastes which most people like such as bacon, egg and cheese or spagetti bolegnese although I do like the sweet ones as well.

I hope he starts a line of pancakes, especially a breakfast stack.  Grin

We are serving up mini hotdogs and big toasted bread 'homestyle' burgers with fully imported bacon, ham, cheese etc. We are also making Aussie beef burgers - most expensive item at Y 25 - you might call them the 'works' burger - because they have everything in them except the kitchen sink. Hotdogs are around Y5-6, burgers with cheese, onions, salad & egg around Y10. Big snow beers are Y5, Guiness Y15, genuine Corona beer are Y15 etc. All beers are cold - usually 'arctic' cold! Italian spaghetti nights are coming and Jaffles have landed. I am planning on landing a few jaffles this weekend - B & E and probably chicken will kick it off, with a vegetarian jaffle
(not vegan) for our sensitive new-agers - big Mike and Mandy.

We have a spanking brand new gas fired BBQ as well with lava rock grill. I am looking for a subbie to take it on to make a buck on the side - let me know if anyone wants to share their BBQ culinary delights. We can do BBQ for young people or parties for anyone who wants an outdoor garden venue - weather permitting.

IPTV will stream the world cup soon on a new 37 inch flat screen - big enough for our little shop. the music is getting better as well. English movies are coming online, card nights are possible, youth aged ESL parties on Saturdays etc.
Anyone interested in using the venue for milkshakes and snack foods for their young aldult students - call Kaibo 13003060214. They call me Kim but Kaibo distinguishes the fact that I am masculine, not feminine. Take it on board and call me Kaibo guys and gals.

Lets gear up for a big BBQ night soon and lift the roof off Aolin Hua Yuan. As much noise as we wanna make up 'til 12 pm is okay in my books.

Cheers!
