Is there any in Hefei!

I could swear I had a can in my hand in Metro about 3 months ago. Now I can not find any.

That would explain why my Aussie burger came sans beets the other night. It was still quite good, but I look forward to trying it with beets.

I never ate a burger with beets in it.  Am I low class?  Grin

Usually in Canada, we do lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese, and stuff like BBQ sauce and so on.

And now you never will...hahaha

Aussies like beets, egg and pineapple, and what ever else is in the cooler at the moment. you need a tarp if you eat one of their burgers.

Sorry Patrick.  Undecided

Beetroot adds a whole new dimension to a burger  Roll Eyes
Avoid spillage, it stains permanently.

Agreed. Adding beetroot to a burger creates another dimension-- it's the burger equivalent of moving from 2D into 3D.

With thin slices of fried pineapple + bacon you will glimpse the 4th dimension, however, beginner beware. Combining pineapple and beetroot can result in juice overload and a soggy-bun Chernobyl if the slices are not adequately thin and well-drained.

off pizzas? Are you kidding me? Pineapple on pizzas is part of Italian tradition.

The first recorded pineapple pizza was made in 1276 in Palermo Roll Eyes

ahh, no need for modesty now. It really is the Italians we can thank for giving us pineapple pizza.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_year_did_pineapple_pizza_originate

Answer:
... in the year 1521 the Italian Antonio Pigafetta (nice name) discovered pineapple in Brazil on his circumnavigation of the globe. Being homesick he made pizza and not having tomatoes and cheese added pineapple and tuna.

The thin slice of pineapple, with a quick flip on the hotplate then placed directly on the patty, a single piece of beetroot on top of that, topped with tomoto, lettuce, egg and fried onions.
