Jaffles are a significant part of growing up in Australia.  When camping, there's little better than a loading your bread with filling into the metal head, long handle jaffle iron and burying it deep into the coals of the campfire.  Checking it occassionally to make sure it reaches the perrrrfect shade of brown then bouncing one from hand to hand to help to help it cool enough so you can venture to bite off the corner.

Jaffles are in Hefei now!
Australian Kim's wife has opened a shop outside the north west section of An Nong Da (Agricultural University), opposite Olli Gardens.

Jaffles will be available any day now.

Jaffles are a food item made of two slices of bread with creative fillings pressed onto an iron mold and toasted in a fire.

The combinations of filling is limited by your imagination but there are some standard tastes which most people like such as bacon, egg and cheese or spagetti bolegnese although I do like the sweet ones as well.

I hope he starts a line of pancakes, especially a breakfast stack.  Grin
