Hi All,

I'm from Los Angeles, California and I'm going to Hefei for a couple of days for a business trip and I'm looking for something to do I guess at night.  Any good bars or restaurants?  Preferably where I can get by with English.   Can't speak Chinese  Sad

Well I have to say its all fascinating.... all these places with obviiously reasonable reputations.  But its no good just naming these places, for new people or people with little knowledge of the area, directions would be great.  I come to this site because I hope it can help me find new places to frequent rather than go through all the rigmarole of trial and error.  Please please anyone that can provide directions to these venues... it would be greatly appreciated

Not long in Hefei, here for a long time and looking for pleasant places to spend time, play card and drink beer (cold beer!)

Heard Revolutionary mentioned many times but cannot find any listing for it, would love to visit.

Tell the taxi to take you to "Dao Xiang Lou" - you should try and jump out before you are taken away up the hill to the hotel, it is on the main road between the Bank & fancy restaurant  (Jin Man Lou).

The sign vanished a long time ago...  but you should see a dark alley with some grafitti next to the fag shop  Wink

It's behind but right around the back to the extreme side of the China Eastern Airlines building in JinZhai Lu.

I'm actually planning a Foreign Visitor's Map.

The existing Tourist map which is available in hotels for 20 Rmb is from 2004.
It was accurate when I arrived.  Grin

I'd like to prepare an updated one with landmarks and places of interest with an accompanying booklet guide.

One last add:
Morgan's at the cross Suzhou Lu with Shouchun Lu

Maybe not al the foreigners will agree with me, but I know a couple that do agree: a really cool place! ;-)

We have been there watching some football lately..

I agree with you 200%.

What's good to see and to do in there aside from the obvious ones?
